Chart 5 (below) shows the same 208 week cycle as in chart 4 but with the choice “5 Years of Data”
selected for screen display instead of “20 Years of Data.”  You can now more easily see the recent cycle
match with the 2002 to 2003 price bottom and with the high in January, 2005.
Those of you with sharp eyes might also have noticed that there are actually 210.50 weeks in the cycle in
this Chart 5, not the 208.40 weeks seen in chart 4.  This is the same cycle.  If you look carefully at the
date of analysis in the lower right bottom of the screen, you will see that the studies were done on
different days, and therefore different data were presented to Techsignal™ for analysis.
We would generally not expect this much difference in a weekly plot based on one day’s difference in
data, but you sometimes will see some variation depending on the data pool presented to Techsignal™
for analysis.   For example, cycles of length say 26.3, 27.4 and 25.9 are likely the same cycle.  You can
study such examples further in great statistical detail in the spectral analysis portion of the Techsignal™
program.
