Chart 3 (below) is a combination of charts 1 and 2, created by selecting the choice “Both” in the Cycle Plots
frame on the right. In this chart you see all of the individual cycles plus the synthesized plot line which is a
combination of all of the individual cycles.
An important pearl to remember is that you cannot phase a synthesized cycle line, and you can only phase
one individual cycle at a time. Once a cycle is phased, Techsignal™ will remember that phase adjustment
as long as you don’t leave this Graph screen, or you save the plot and reopen it later. You can see the
changed entry in the Phase Adjustment column in the Analysis Grid below the price plot.
Also, you can phase adjust more than one cycle, only you must do them one at a time, and sometimes you
may adjust as many as three cycles in a cycle study. Usually you don’t phase adjust cycles with periods
shorter than 18 to 26 periods.
